Announcing a new Meetup for London Coaches Group!
What: How to harness your coaching target market for amazing results When: Tuesday, August 3, 2010 6:30 PM - 9.30 PM Price: GBP40.00 per person Where: The Grosvenor Hotel, 101 Buckingham Palace Road, London Coaching Business Success Series Choosing and maximising your coaching niche: the first real step to success Most coaches know that finding a niche is important. But unfortunately most coaches don't know why it's important or what to do when they have one! It's a great shame that so many coaches learn brilliant coaching skills that allow them how to coach anyone on anything but end up coaching just a few people on very little! And it's not really their fault. It's just that coaching skills is only one part of being a coach. If you feel stuck with your coaching practice and you are scrabbling around for occasional clients there's a good chance that you haven't focused your niche well or haven't maximised its potential. Choosing a niche is difficult enough for many coaches - most coaches come into coaching to help people in any and every area of life - but building a strategy that focuses all their effort on that niche is even more difficult as it needs skills that few coaches have ever been taught. I have to admit I was lucky. When I started out I created a conference company from scratch that operated purely in the public sector and so, later on as a coach, I naturally gravitated towards coaching police officers, social workers and other public sector workers in implementing government strategies at a local level. But I learned my lesson the hard way at first. I had a niche but I didn't fully exploit it when I first started out. Really leveraging the power of a niche took some time to learn and it didn't see any courses back then! I just learned by trial and error until one day the penny dropped and I realised.... "Everything hangs on your target market and your target market cannot be everyone!" You see 20 years olds don't speak the same as 50 year olds. 40 year old female executives don't have the same concerns as 65 year old pensioners Social workers don't share the same aspirations as stockbrokers (well, not always!) People interested in getting richer don't lose sleep over the same thing a lonely singleton loses sleep over. So why do so many coaches talk to all these people at once? When I got smart about a target market the market got smart for me! So in the second of the Coaching Business Success Workshops I'm going to be looking at this incredibly important element of your coaching business: Finding and maximising a target market who learns to see you as the go-to person for their desired outcomes You'll learn:
Now here's the thing: You've already trained hard to become a coach. You've shown the commiment to succeed. You're part of this group for a reason. You just need to take the next step. And almost all of those next steps hang upon the choice you make about your target market: Your marketing message; your networking strategy; your social media strategy; your unique selling proposition; your website; literature; cards; shows; and on and on. All wasted if you create an ineffective target market strategy. Come along to this workshop and challenge yourself to start making a difference. This workshop will fundamentally change your business if you allow it to. Book now to start building your client numbers! RSVP to this Meetup: http://www.london-coa... |
